Professor Pascal R. Vouhé, MD, PhD, was Professor of Surgery at the Paris- Centre University, Head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Necker-Sick Children Hospital, and Head of the Department of GUCHD Cardiology at Georges Pompidou Hospital, until his retirement in September 2020. His surgical activity was mainly devoted to surgery for neonates and complex malformations, as well as heart and heart-lung transplantation. Pascal Vouhé has participated in the publication of 270 scientific papers and 56 chapters of books; he presented 250 oral communications. Pascal Vouhé is member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and the European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery. He served as President of the European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2009. Pascal Vouhé is a member of the Académie Nationale de Médecine (French Academy of Medicine) and Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur.
