Pr Lucile Houyel is a pediatric cardiologist and cardiac morphologist at Hôpital Necker-Enfants
Malades, Paris, France. She is Deputy Head of Department since 2021 and co-coordinates the M3C
(French Congenital Cardiac Complex Malformations network) with Pr Damien Bonnet. She is
specialized in anatomy of congenital cardiac defects, echocardiography and heart transplantation.
She is member of the Working Group “Cardiac Morphology” of the Association of European Pediatric
Cardiologists (AEPC), member of the Working Group “Anatomy, Development and Pathology” of the
European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and first vice-president of the International Society for
Nomenclature of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (ISNPCHD).
