Since 2008: Professorship for Pediatrics at the Freiburg University and Director of the Department for Congenital Heart Disease and Pediatric Cardiology of the Freiburg University.
She graduated as pediatrician, pediatric cardiologist and pediatric intensivist.
Her main clinical and research interests are Heart failure treatment, Mechanical circulatory support in children and Cardiac Transplantation.
Since 2009 she is a member of the Ethical Committee of the University of Freiburg and was President of the DGPK, German Society for Pediatric Cardiology in 2014 + 15.
