Anwar Baban, MD, PhD is a consultant cardiogeneticist since 2009 in Bambino Gesù Children Hospital and Research Institute in Rome – Italy. The main objective of the cardiogenetic centre is not only establishing “genetic testing” but above all deciphering expanding phenotypes both at cardiac and extracardiac levels in rare cardiac diseases in order to to give better management and personalized medical approach at multidiscplinary level. Moreover, one of the major interests of Dr Baban is to underline the potentially progressive aspects in inherited cardiac diseases which can be a tool for risk stratification and prognosis in this category of patients.
